Fluid Totality präsentiert die avantgardistischen Architekturvisionen einer der innovativsten akademischen Institutionen unserer Zeit das Studio Hadid Vienna an der Universität für angewandte Kunst Wien. Das Studio, vor 15 Jahren von Zaha Hadid übernommen, entwickelte sich zu einer weltweit anerkannten Ideenschmiede. Das Buch analysiert diese Entwicklung im Kontext des allumfassenden Digitalisierungsprozesses und der daraus resultierenden globalen Veränderungen unserer Lebensräume. Anhand von theoretischen und analytischen Essays einflussreicher zeitgenössischer Architekturtheoretiker und -kritiker sowie zahlreicher Beiträge und Statements von renommierten Architekten und Wegbegleitern des Studios präsentiert der Band das Ergebnis von fünfzehn Jahren zukunftsweisender Arbeit im internationalen Kontext; der besondere Fokus liegt auf den Projekten der letzten fünf Jahre.

Fluid Totality presents the avant-garde architectural visions of one of the most innovative academic institutions of our time-Studio Hadid at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. The studio founded by Zaha Hadid 15 years ago has meanwhile developed into a globally renowned think tank. The book analyzes these developments in the context of a comprehensive process of digitization and the resulting global changes in our habitats. On the basis of theoretical and analytical essays by influential contemporary architectural theorists and critics, as well as numerous articles and statements by renowned architects and others who have been involved during the history of the studio, this volume presents the result of fifteen years of pioneering work in an international context; the particular focus being the projects of the last five years.
