Falls are a worldwide public health problem that mostly affects older people. The prevention of falls can be achieved through multiple factorial interventions, including the educational approach. This guide was developed according to health literacy demands in order to enhance adherence of older people to adopt the behaviors taught and therefore to prevent falls. It can be used by the general public or integrated in a multifactorial programme lead by professionals.Catarina Silva is graduated in Radiology and has a master´s degree in Health Education.
