This works contains 10 separate manuscripts dealing with the evaluation of 16 different Barley (Hordeum vulgare) genotypes. Evaluation included the anatomy of stomata, epidermis and their populations, as influenced by drought and adequate irrigation. Dessication of barley leaves followed in hood to track the pattern of water transpirations of the 16 investigated genotypes. Equations for the estimation of leaf area, leaf size, leaf fresh weigh, leaf bulk density and leaf thickness created through regression analysis.
