The Sudanese Nubian goats breed, the most numerous and widely distributed especially in the urban and riverside areas. Also,it is recognized as a dual purpose.Due to the increasing demand on meat supply, some populations have changed their eating habits to consume more goat meat.Male goat kids that are not being kept as future flock sires are usually castrated and therefore, they are not of high quality and culled as a meat source. The biochemical traits of the domestic animals have been investigated by various workers, however, relatively few studies have been carried out on the indigenous goat breeds of Sudan, which require more investigations. This book, therefore, sheds the light on the effect of castration on the most blood metabolites, feedlots performance and the correlation between them. The end result of the study showed that castration does affect the meat quality by affecting its characteristics despite of a few differences that were shown in the blood metabolites. This work should be especially useful to students, researchers, breed producers and professional in the field of animal production, besides anyone else who may be considering interesting in goat meat production.
