Teacher Resource Centers were established as one way of helping teachers develop as professionals as well as improving teaching and learning process.The book presents achievements and challenges that faced student teachers, tutors as well as management system in Zanzibar TRCs. However, the introduction of the centres have played part in reducing the number of untrained teachers and develop their professionalism.This book will benefit teachers, tutors, policy makers, stakeholders, and sponsors to get a clear picture of what is going on in Zanzibar TRCs with relation to other centres world wide.

Dr. Mary Mosha was born in 1961. She completed her Secondary Education in 1979. She joined Teacher Training College in 1980. She completed her BA Ed. Degree in 2001 at The Open University of Tanzania, MA Ed. in 2007, and PhD in 2012 at The University of Dar es Salaam. Currently she is Dean, Faculty of Education at the University of Bagamoyo.
