Management of blow-out fractures of the orbit is a controversial issue. The centre of controversy seems to be diplopia. Since the recognition of this type of injury as a unique entity in 1957, the treatment outcome concerning diplopia is equivocal. This book addresses this problem using both quantitative and qualitative research approaches. the quantitavie study findings suggest that diplopia score (BSV) could be a useful unifying measurement for diplopia management. In addition, the level of tissue involvement in the fracture defect is another important factor. Triangulation of data from both factors can be used as useful management guide for this type of trauma. The qualitative study explored the patient understanding and interpretation to the problem. It provided a new insight, which clinician is unaware of. Using different research paradigms to investigate one research question provides holistic understanding to the problem under investigation. It, also, enables the clinician to appreciate the input of qualitative research findings and implement them in health problem management
