This study animates the real-world experiences of women in leadership positions. New insights are revealed regarding female leadership styles that have never been studied before. Fascinating dimensions of leadership emerge from women´s descriptions of how they fulfill their responsibilities by working as labor union leaders. Many of their accounts poignantly disclose aspects of what it means to be a female leader in the service of everyday workers.

Daniel K. Sage, PhD, has 30 years teaching philosophy, religious studies, and psychology at the college, university, and high school level. Dan is on the faculty at Regis Jesuit High School in Aurora, Colorado, where he was named Teacher of the Year for 2014-2915. Dan works with multiple organizations toward socio-economic and climate justice.
