This work investigates the extent of climate change impacts on agricultural system in Fiji and the vulnerability of rural communities. The survey is focusing on three main agricultural areas on Fiji´s main Island Viti Levu: Nausori, Sigatoka Valley and Vitogo (Lautoka). This research was carried out within the scope of the regional programme "Adaptation to Climate Change in the Pacific Island Region" implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ).Joanna Akritidu was born in Wroclaw (Poland) and studied geography at the university in Bonn (Germany). Since 2012 she has been working for the Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in a climate change adaptation programme in Fiji.
