The Book entitled "Value Chain and Export Competitiveness of Potato" is focusing on three major aspects viz production of Potato, Post harvest Value Chain and the Export Competitiveness. Production of Potato discusses on the aspects of area production and productivity, cost of production, production and transportation losses and the constraints faced by the producers. In the second part it focuses on post harvest and value chain aspects which included efficiency in distribution of potato, losses that arose during the marketing process due to perishable nature. Finally it has explored the aspects related to export potentials associated with potato to different nations including the neighbors like Sri Lanka and Nepal. This book will serve as a hand book for the researchers and the academicians whom are searching the information related to Potato. Besides appropriate policy measures are also discussed to make the profession lucrative.

Kumarasamy is basically an agricultural graduate passed out during 2006 from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University and did MBA and Ph.D. in Agribusiness Management and currently working as Assistant Professor with Aravindar Agricultural Insitite of Technology Thiruvannamalai has published 15 research papers of National and International repute.
