The following book is the result of an artistic and aesthetic research focusing on the relationships between composition and improvisation in live-electronic music that was developed during my master studies at the Institute for Acustic and electronic music (IEM) at the University of Performing Arts in Graz, Austria. This research aimes to implement in an artistic manner some aspects of interaction in musical multimedia. The text covers aesthetic, and also technical aspects of composition regarding electronic processes in combination with instrumental sounds.

Andres Gutierrez Martinez (1984) is a mexican composer and sound artist and electronic music performer who researches in the field of live-electronic music. The research of new interaction possibilities between the musician and the electronic instruments is one of the main aspects of his artistic work.
