It is investigated how the development of eddy structures can be influenced by undulated topographies. The presence of side-walls in the channel cannot be neglected under certain conditions - The flow becomes three-dimensional. This influences the linear stability of the flow, significantly.The author was born 26th of December 1982 in Gummersbach (Germany).He studied physics at the University of Bayreuth (Germany) from 2003-2008.The thesis "Influence of side walls and undulated topography on viscous gravity-driven film flow" which is printed in this book is the result of his PhD research during the time from 2009-2012.
