This is about the happy people of a country town, mainly, who seem quite normal but whose lives are full of astonishing events and strange persons. Often this combination is painful and/or fatal, but then, that´s life. I base these stories on my life in a moderate size town on the south coast of WA, in the first decade of the 21st century where I bought 21 acres of land, built a house, shared in the raising of five children. For me personally was a happy time, though at times difficult, but it ended when our marriage did, and a new life began for us all. A shipwreck. Only now, eight years later, are we starting to crawl onto dry land.
I am of mixed French and Irish background, grew up in Sydney in Australia, studied Medieval Literature and folklore, taught in France and Indonesia, have seven children from two marriages, and am currently a student at the University of WA. I am interested in both academic and fictional writing. My favourite author is Kafka. I like cats.
