Alex Newson joined the Design Museum as Senior Curator in 2009. He has curated numerous exhibitions including Designs of the Year, a retrospective on the German designer Dieter Rams, and a project to curate and reinstall the Design Museum´s permanent collection, making it available to the public for the first time in over five years. Other notable exhibitions include Designed to Win and The Future is Here: A New Industrial Revolution. Before joining the Design Museum, Newson previously worked at the National Trust, the Ashmolean Museum and Sir John Soane´s Museum. He was also the curator of BT´s heritage department.
