Kosovo war bis zu diesem Buch ein "weißer Fleck" in der Forschung zum sozialistischen Jugoslawien - erstaunlich genug, da die albanisch geprägte Provinz für dessen Stabilität und schließlichen Zerfall mitentscheidend war.
