This book provides a comprehensive coverage of employee turnover phenomenon. It is arranged in three parts- Part I: Concepts and Theories on Employee Turnover; Part II: An overview of Global and Indian Information Technology (IT) Sectors & Employee Turnover: A Case Study; and Part III: Employee Retention Strategies and Talent Management. This book starts with a conceptual framework where various concepts and terminologies related to employee turnover are discussed. It provides an extensive coverage of the existing studies and theories on employee turnover. This book especially deals with IT/ITeS employee turnover and for that it gives an overall scenario of global and Indian IT sectors. Companies need to identify the reasons behind the employees´ intention to leave the organization in order to design effective retention strategies to minimise it. For that purpose this book provides a theoretical framework on employee turnover and empirically tested a turnover model based on that theoretical framework to identify the reasons behind IT professionals. It also provides some plausible strategies for managing and retaining talented and skilled employees within the organisations.
