Meg Wolitzer, geboren 1959, studierte Creative Writing und veröffentlichte 1982 den ersten von mehreren Romanen, darunter den New-York-Times-Bestseller ´The Ten Year Nap´. Sie unterrichtete Creative Writing u. a. an der University of Iowa, zwei ihrer Bücher wurden verfilmt. Ihre Kurzgeschichten erschienen in der Sammlung ´Best American Short Stories´. Im Herbst 2013 war sie Gastkünstlerin des Princeton Atelier Program. Sie lebt in New York City.
