This work concerns with the state of Yemen´s current pharmacy sector and the future challenges that it may face. We shall first review Yemen as a country and take a glance over its health services and the critical health challenges overcoming the people of the country. We will also take a close look into the statistics of data with regard to the Yemenis health and their demographic backgrounds. The sections that follow will be filled with the more administrative issues- the policy, the medicinal trade and production, the regulation as well as the financing. The government´s action will also be emphasised, where we will see how medicines are procured and distributed in the public sector, and subsequently how the public perceive these medicines; obviously, the extent of their knowledge and attitude will determine their rational use of the medicines
