The book examines the socio-economic impact of refugees on EU host countries with a focus on Austria. Refugee crisis has become an important issue more recently in Europe. Due to continuing violence and persecution in the Middle East, Sub-Saharan Africa, Afghanistan, Pakistan and some other countries, refugees cannot live in or return to their home countries. This produces diverse socio-economic implications for refugees´ current host communities in Austria, Germany, and other Western-European countries and also in the refugee camps in Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey.

Tamanna was born and raised in India. Since the last ten years, she has been working in Vienna. As a journalist, she has interviewed several famous people and written for various publications.
