This book is basically an assessment of the accessibility, adequacy and impact of institutional credit on agricultural output. It has brought to the fore, the exact challenges hampering the output of farmers and the vital role agricultural credit plays in agricultural growth and development thereby constituting a reference point for accurate and healthy economic predictions and policies by the government. An insight into some of the best practices in agricultural lending that could help revive the sector are also reviewed and has acknowledged the relevance of capital (through credit) in explaining the agricultural output of a country as postulated by Charles Cobb and Paul Douglas in their theory of production function.
