Dr Ibrahim Wada is a recipient of the National Honour of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) for his ground-breaking works in medicine, specifically the breakthrough in in vitro fertilisation (IVF), the birth of the first nationally authenticated ´test tube" baby born in Nigeria in 1998. He became a consultant in 1992 at the prestigious Bourn Hall Clinic Cambridge, the world´s first centre for IVF. Dr Ibrahim Wada is the Vice Chairman & Group Medical Adviser to Nisa Premier and Garki Hospitals Abuja. He is a Gynaecologist with MBBS from ABU Zaria. He is a fellow of Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (FRCOG) and West African College of surgeons (FWACS), and holds an MBA in Healthcare Management, Frankfurt.
