This book does not depict rare and unusual (and hence not so significant) case scenarios in a surgeon´s clinical practice. But, it represents a compilation of interesting as well as clinically important cases that Prof. Priyadarshan Jategaonkar has come across in his surgical practice. Each of these cases projects a distinct useful message to the reader. Moreover, some "on-table" surprises may be easily avoided after going through this book. It also includes some studies based on Prof. Jategaonkar´s innovative technique of trans-umbilical multiport laparoscopic surgery that may be contemplated as the "hybrid" mid-way between conventional laparoscopy and single port laparoscopy. Dr. Priyadarshan Jategaonkar DNB (Surgical Gastroenterology), FNB (Minimal Access Surgery), MS (General Surgery), DNB (General Surgery), MRCSEd, FACS (USA), FMAS, PGDHA. He is a practicing Surgical Gastroenterologist & Minimal Access Surgeon from Central India and has over 20 years experience in this field. He also works as Professor of Surgery.
