Cellulose is one of the most abundant natural polymer in nature. Cellulose occurs in plants such as cotton and ramie which contain a highly pure cellulose, as ligno cellulose in baste fibers, e.g. flax, jute and wood, where it occurs in combination with lignin, holocellulose, etc. Scientifically, the term cellulose applies only to the pure plant cell materials consisting of macromolecules of at least several hundreds to several thousands anhydroglucose units. Cellulosic based textiles is considered the best choice for wearer due to the unique properties of cellulosic based textiles such as comfortable soft hand, good absorbency, machine washable, color retention (easy to dye), breathable.
