Postmortem Distribution of Abuse Drugs:- Toxicological analysis and results interpretation for postmortem samples in the absent of femoral blood represent a major challenge for Forensic toxicologist. This mainly due to present of published data on therapeutic, toxic and lethal concentration of drugs level on femoral blood sample only. Alternative postmortem samples can give some idea about the drug levels in these samples but there is very limited data when these samples were compared to femoral blood drug concentration level. This study has added to our knowledge and understanding of the usefulness of using alternative postmortem specimens to study the distribution of drugs of abuse in different body compartments and how the concentrations relate to femoral blood levels and toxicity.
