In the end of the school year in the late 1980s, teacher Gress Rendal is faced with a strange situation. The school librarian goes missing after acting unlike herself, leaving only an intern teacher and a healing stone behind. Just as Gress´ colleague suggests searching for the librarian, the true reason for her disappearance is revealed: she has been selected to help an evil spirit make it to her wedding on time... Unfortunately for Gress, the evil spirit is the one that is connected to her, and leaving a certain range around the demon will destroy them both. Forced to leave her classes and travel in a group intent on keeping them both safe, Gress ends up on a quest to bring her own evil spirit across the world, facing an ambitious demon, a dragon hunter, the mysterious beast Daraegys within her, and a cursed stone that proves to be nothing but a pain...

Julia Blackmore is an author and a high school student. She has previously published two other books, Ten Percent: A Novel and Eleven Minutes: The Sequel to Ten Percent, making Crystal Cursed her third novel. Born in Guelph, Ontario, she currently lives with her family in St John´s, NL.
