She narrates her adolescence spent in her hometown with her only friend Davis Halls, a future spy. Also, how his tragic death brought a metal end to her life. Yet she recovers and is living her 20s as a young lecturer to be betrothed to a loving young man called Arthur Young. Still, she has never forgotten the memories she had with Davis.
