These essays are the result of my studying at various places with wonderful people, who have made a huge impact on who I am today. Hope my essays will be helpful to Bachelors and Masters interested in the way Russians theologise and interpret the Bible. Several essays are devoted to the subject of hermeneutics, overtly demonstrating how Russian Christians deal with a variety of interpretative challenges, which appear on their way of reading the Scripture.

Lagunov Sergei, born 01.12.1974, city Yekaterinburg, the Russia Federation. Graduated in 2007 from the North Caucasus Biblical Institute (BTh), in 2010 from the International Baptist Theological Seminary, Prague, the Czech Republic. Beginning with February 2012 I have been studying in the Protestant Theological University (the Netherlands, PhD).
