This dissertation is not only about understanding the antecedents for new ventures starting with the idea, transcending into economic value through entrepreneurial action, and ending with a profitable and growing organization, but is also about examining constraints around actually designing these new ventures. To this end, it combines insights from strategic entrepreneurship, strategic management, new venture team theory, and entrepreneurial learning.
