In 2016 Heimo Zobernig was commissioned by the LUMA Foundation to create a new café for the LUMA Westbau in the Löwenbräu arts complex in Zurich. Zobernig´s schwarzescafé-primarily a coffee house and bar-is a multifunctional, architectural intervention, which is used for hospitality, movie screenings, and lectures, as a display space for exhibitions, and as a reading room hosting Kunsthalle Zurich´s library. This publication documents Zobernig´s work, the interventions by artists using his display, and the group exhibition ,Home´, which presented modes of reprenentation of interior space.
