Christianity and the residual effects of slavery are both ever-present within African American families and communities. This book assesses the relationship between the conditioning methods used on early enslaved Africans in the Americas and the residual psychological and psycho-social concerns of current African Americans. This research also explores the residual effects of the forced conversion of Christianity upon early enslaved Africans. As such, the data presented includes participants of African descent with variation to geographical location which only includes the continent of Africa, and the United States of America. While there is limited literature that primarily focuses on the psycho-social and psychological effects of the forced conversion of Christianity on early slaves, there is significant data presented that directly correlates specific psychological and psycho-social issues with the absence of spiritual freedom. A journey in critical analysis of the misuse of faith emerges.
