The word development is a household word today! The concept has been examined from a Theatre for Development perspective in this booklet. Development is put in a perspective meant to challenge readers to think out of the "box" and to relate to situations on the ground to widen and broaden the definitions of development beyond what the status quo is today. Ghana has all it takes to develop individuals consistently the broader populace, rural communities and our dear country Ghana (and all African Nations by extension) Theatre for development is a paradigm shift worth adopting in our contemporary world today.

Elias holds a Diploma in Theatre Studies, Diploma in Theology, B.A. (Hons) in Drama and Religion and M.Phil/Ph.D in Theatre for Development from Southampton University (King Alfred´s College) in the United Kingdom.He has strong interest in the recovery of indigenous values and knowledge embedded in the Ghanaian Cultural Heritage.
