Milk powder as a nutritious dairy product occupies a significant portion in a healthy diet. Heavy metal contaminated milk is a huge worldwide concern as it affects on the safety of consumers. Intake of contaminated milk powder can cause direct and indirect adverse health hazards to humans due to long-term exposure to toxic heavy metals. Thus, the safety, quality and the consumers´ acceptability of milk powder decreases when it is contaminated with toxic heavy metals.
