The book describes the importance of a well known image processing technique called Image Fusion.The application and importance of this technique in area of medical imaging can be easily understood by learning the book. Multi resolution transforms like wavelets is an excellent signal processing tool for image fusion .Study of Various families and generations of wavelet transforms further enhances the levels and efficiency in the technique of image fusion.Two different method are explained in the book and their results are compared with other contemporary methods.

Jayant Bhardwaj(MIEEE) is Assistant Professor(ECE) in Bhagwan Parshuram Institute of Technology(BPIT)affiliated to GGSIPU ,Delhi,India. He is a faculty member here since February 2010.He is pursuing PhD from USICT,GGSIPU,Delhi,India.His research interest are Wavelet and Multirate analysis, Statistical signal processing and Image processing.
