Die Ausgabe beinhaltet neben dem griechischen Text der maßgeblichen Ausgabe von Manolis Papathomopoulos eine moderne, zielsprachig orientierte und damit flüssig lesbare Übersetzung, eine ausführliche Hinführung zu Gattung, Autor und Werk sowie umfangreiche erläuternde Anmerkungen. Den Band beschließt eine reichhaltige Bibliographie.
